Spa Policies & Etiquette

 

CHECK IN:

  • In order to obtain your desired appointment, we recommend scheduling your appointment as far in advance as possible.

  • Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your appointment. Your service begins at the time scheduled. As a courtesy to the next scheduled guest, your treatment will end on time regardless of the time it begins. 

  • We send email confirmations and text message reminders 48 hours before your appointment time.

SPA ETIQUETTE AND RULES:

At SKN Beauty Den we ask that all our guests abide by the following Code of Conduct.

  • Please no cell phone use in the spa.  We ask you turn your cell phones on silent during your services and take phone calls outside of the spa. 

  • Children: To maintain our serene atmosphere, we ask that you not bring children. We do, however allow children to enjoy certain spa treatments under the following guidelines: children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult and all children under the age of 18 must have an adult sign their initial consultation form.  It is the adult’s responsibility to monitor the child’s behavior.

  • Forms of Payment: We accept cash or American Express, Visa, Mastercard or Discover credit cards for payment.  Personal checks are not accepted.

  • Jewelry/Valuables: If possible, please leave your jewelry and valuables at home as you will not need it for your day spa visit. However, if you such items, be mindful of not leaving them behind in treatment rooms or robe pockets.

  • Communicating your Preferences: All aspects of treatment can usually be modified to your taste: amount of light, type of music, table temperature, and whether you choose to have a conversation or enjoy the treatment in silence. Feel free to ask questions. Your therapist will appreciate knowing your thoughts and clarifying any issues you may have.

  • Pregnancy or Medical Conditions: Be sure to mention any medical information when you book an appointment. Certain treatments may not be advisable for you. Before your treatment begins, let your therapist or esthetician know of any medical concerns or if you’re wearing contact lenses before you have a facial.  If you are pregnant, massage services are provided only if you are beyond your first trimester (twelve weeks).

  • What to Wear during Your Treatment: If you are having a treatment for the first time, feel free to ask the receptionist or therapist how you should be dressed for treatment. We want to make sure that you are comfortable, so please let us know if you have questions.

Our trained therapists and estheticians are here solely to help improve your wellness and relaxation. If a therapist ever feels that a client is behaving inappropriately, they are authorized to stop the treatment immediately and direct you to the front desk.

SKN Beauty Den CANCELLATION POLICY

At SKN Beauty Den, your appointments are very important to us. We understand that appointments may need to be changed or canceled. However, due to the timing, cost of preparations, and to hold the room in anticipation of your visit, we kindly ask for the following considerations when booking and canceling an appointment.

  • We kindly ask you to provide us with at least a 24-hour notice for all appointment cancellations.  

  • No shows or same day cancellations that are less than 4 hours of your appointment time will be charged 50% of the service. For Gift Certificates, 50% of the service value will be redeemed. For Packages 50% of a single service value, at its regular price, will be redeemed.

  • Late Policy: If you are 10 or more minutes late we may ask you to reschedule your appointment so it will not affect our punctual clients. If we are unable to take you at the time you arrive, you will be charged for 50% of the service that you missed.
